Tonight's movie is titled "Sick Nurses". Some of the movies that I've found have some nudity or horror movie style violence in them. I will try to warn you ahead of time if there is something that might be disturbing for some but use your own good judgement. Also movies from YouTube tend to be a little darker in the dark scenes so sometime you may want to turn up the brightness on you computer screen. My posting this movie does not change any of the other rules and guidelines that are in place on Halloween Horrors. For example this is still a no nude picture site. You may post videos in a blog but please make sure the movies are not too objectionable (if you have questions ask before you post - and please let me know when you plan to do it).... Enjoy tonights movie :)
Tonight's film is titled "Sick Nurses" (Made in Thailand 2007 Unrated in the USA Directors Piraphan Laoyont and Thodsapol Siriwiwat) Plot: In a run-down, suburban Bangkok hospital, young Dr. Tar (Wichan Jarujinda) and seven nurses have been running a scheme to sell dead bodies on the black market. But one nurse, Tawan (Chol Wachananont), has found out that her boyfriend, Dr. Tar, has been having an affair with her sister, Nook (Chidjun Rujiphan), is tired of the body-selling scam, and is ready to call the police. However, before Tawan can take action, the doctor and six resident nurses at the hospital, strap Tawan to an operating table, kill her and then wrap her in a black plastic garbage bag. They then dump her in the trunk of the doctor’s car, where her corpse will be kept on dry ice until it can be sold. All the women have their own obsessions and weaknesses. Each and every nurse (except one of the twins) has been having an affair with Dr. Tar and they died based on what the Doctor gave them, like the bag given to Kanya Rattanapetch, she died with that bag being sewn from her head.
It's not a late post at all, that's fine. My thinking is that there are some amazing (and most of all very original) horror films from different parts of the orient. If people wake up to how great they are they'll leave the USA in the dust as far as horror movies go and we'll still be making our 20th sequel or prequel to Halloween wondering what happened.

I know this is a late post. I love Thai ghost movies, the ghost almost always wins in the end! A typical Thai cinematographers 'trick' is the comic relief, some funny scene that has absolutely nothing to do with the movie. The revenge of the ex-wife in the restaurant for example. Until near the end when the diners couldn't stop singing and the confetti tied in with Taiwan's puncture by Nook. Now at the end, when Taiwan was reborn, it looked to me like it was the gay dude that said "marriage" which would have been how they tied the card/gay scene into the movie. In Thai fortune telling, the Ace of hearts is the love card, the King of Spades is death or evil; the two cards drawn. I spent two years in the army stationed in Northeast Thailand. I lived with the Thai people and absorbed as much of their culture while I was there. That was 1971-1973.
This movie was definately dark and eerie...! I liked one of the opening lines : "In seven days, the spirit will come back to those it loved." And for the playboy doctor (all the nurses seemed to like him, and vice-versa), it was Tawan who would later come back to him - and get revenge on the other nurses. Their later deaths were certainly very strange (the one nurse who was hung with what looked like long, black hair and drowned in a fish tank) and bloody - especially for the one nurse who was forced to eat shards of glass and when she pulled her hand away from her mouth, she was holding her lower jaw in her hands and then the kitten started eating her tongue that had fallen out. Another bloody and gory death scene was when the one nurse slaughtered her sister in the bathtub with the saw...or the nurse who attempted to take the purse-like bag from the other nurse's head, but pulled on a string that actually decapitated her. But the playboy doctor wasn't immune from Tawan's revenge. The ending was great, when Tawan was "born" from the pregnant nurse then went after the doctor. All Tawan wanted was to be married afterall! Thanks for posting this :)
