Tonight's movie is titled "Devils Diary". Some of the movies that I've found have some nudity or horror movie style violence in them. I will try to warn you ahead of time if there is something that might be disturbing for some but use your own good judgement. Also movies from YouTube tend to be a little darker in the dark scenes so sometime you may want to turn up the brightness on you computer screen. My posting this movie does not change any of the other rules and guidelines that are in place on Halloween Horrors. For example this is still a no nude picture site. You may post videos in a blog but please make sure the movies are not too objectionable (if you have questions ask before you post - and please let me know when you plan to do it).... Enjoy tonights movie :)
Tonight's made for TV movie is titled "Devils Diary" (2007 Canadian Directed by Farhad Mann) Plotline: When two friends, Dominique and Ursula, uncover an ancient book in a graveyard one night, they discover that the book has the supernatural power to grant any evil desire written within it. In a series of escalating acts of vengeance, Ursula harms anyone who opposes her. Dominique realizes that the book fills all who possess it with the feeling of ultimate power. Seeking help from Father Mark Mulligan, a priest, and other people she knows, Dominique tries to destroy the book and save Ursula before it's too late. Unfortunately, cheerleaders Heather and Georgia find out about the book's powers as well, and plan to use it against Ursula and Dominique. The book keeps going to the person who wants it for wicked things. Eventually she manages to destroy it... or at least she thinks she does. In the last scene, someone else finds the book and the hellish cycle begins anew
I liked this movie, it was actually really good. The moral of this story should have been - never pick up objects with dark, supernatural powers from a graveyard in the middle of the night. Unfortunately for Ursula, and later the cheerleaders Heather and Georgia, they realized a little too late what happens when they use the book for their "wishes". As involved and as obsessed that Ursula became with the book, I didn't think anyone would have been able to "take" it from her. Too bad for Ursula that her friends couldn't save her, even after the book was taken. Her death in the bathroom was unnatural and bloody. Knowing what the book could do, Georgia should have been more careful. Having all the men in school fall in love with her didn't help her, after Dominique began to tear mpages from the book and threw it - she died, too. Ursula had good intentions, seeking help from the clergy about the book, but Father Sanchez wasn't what he seemed to be - because, in his words, he "gave himself to the devil." His later death after Dominique stabbed the book wasn't surprising though. Too bad the book was later found in the cemetery, everything begins again! Thanks for posting this :)
