Halloween Horrors

A Meeting Place For Everyone That Loves Horror Movies And Halloween Topics

Tonight's movie is titled "Pieces". This particular movie though it is unrated has some nudity and a certain amount of gore. Some of the movies that I've found have some mild nudity or horror movie style violence in them. I will try to warn you ahead of time if there is something that might be disturbing for some but use your own good judgement. Also movies from YouTube tend to be a little darker in the dark scenes sometimes so you might want to turn up the brightness on your computer. My posting this movie does not change any of the other rules and guidelines that are in place on Halloween Horrors. For example this is still a no nude picture site. You may post videos in a blog but please make sure the movies are not too objectionable (if you have questions ask before you post - and please let me know when you plan to do it). The second half of this movie will be posted this coming Saturday night... Enjoy :)

Tonight's movie is titled "Pieces" (English title, 1982 - unrated) also titled (Mil gritos tiene la noche - the Spanish title) directed by Juan Piquer Simón. Plotline: While playing with a puzzle, a teenager is repressed by his mother, and he kills her and severs her body with an ax. Forty years later, in an university campus in Boston, a serial killer kills young women and severs their bodies in parts, stealing body pieces from each student. Lt. You're right, at least there were no silly lines or silly teenagers. It was a good movie, I liked it. Thanks for picking this one :)

Well being an early 80's film it had some quality without having cheesy lines like "I'm too old for this ####, or over-dramitic silly teenagers.

That little boy in the opening scenes...he has some "issues". What he did to his mother was gruesome, each of the deaths were bloody and gory. Throughout most of the movie they made it look like it was Willard the groundskeep/janitor (I think that was the actor who played Bluto in "Popeye") who was the murderer, it seemed like he was always near the murder scenes. But you also had suspicions that it could have been the young man or the professor. Until nearly the end, though, I wouldn't have suspected that it was actually the dean who was the real killer, or that he was the young boy in the beginning of the movie. The police arrived at the deans' apartment just in time, before he could kill again. I wasn't expecting the human 'jigsaw' to fall out of the deans' cupboard at the end. The ending was, well, a little unusual...what the 'jigaw' lady did to that young man...This movie definately fits the title of a slasher movie!
