Halloween Horrors

A Meeting Place For Everyone That Loves Horror Movies And Halloween Topics

Tonight's movie is titled,. "The Manitou" Tonight's movie has no nudity and only moderate violence and gore. But some of the movies that I've found have some mild nudity or horror movie style violence in them. I will try to warn you ahead of time if there is something that might be disturbing for some but use your own good judgement. Also movies from YouTube tend to be a little darker in the dark scenes so sometime you may want to turn up the brightness on you computer screen. My posting this movie does not change any of the other rules and guidelines that are in place on Halloween Horrors. For example this is still a no nude picture site. You may post videos in a blog but please make sure the movies are not too objectionable (if you have questions ask before you post - and please let me know when you plan to do it).... Enjoy tonights movie :)

Tonights movie titled "The Manitou". This is the last film that Director William Girdler Directed (1978 Rated PG USA) he also Directed Day of the Animals and Grizzly.
Plotline: Karen Tandy (Susan Strasberg) enters a San Franisco hospital suffering from a growing tumor on her back. The doctors think it's a living creature, a fetus is being born inside the tumor. It's out of print - very rare.

That is insane. When I bought the paperback (nearly 30 years ago) I think it was something like $2.50

I found one copy of that book which is the same title as the title of the movie (50 dollars was the price). Nope I didn't want to read it that badly. If I really want to read it I'll get it by using the inter-library loan system (which is a great system).

I didn't know it was based on a book but yes usually the book is better. I'll have to some more checking on imdb.com and see if I can find out what book. Perhaps a book by the same name ? It's not always that way.

The movie took a radical turn from the book (by Graham Masterson). But then again, dig
when have you known me not to say the book was better?
