The 139th Movie Night

Tonight's movie is titled "Phantoms". Some of the movies that I've found have some nudity or horror movie style violence in them. I will try to warn you ahead of time if there is something that might be disturbing for some but use your own good judgement. Also movies from YouTube tend to be a little darker in the dark scenes so sometime you may want to turn up the brightness on you computer screen. My posting this movie does not change any of the other rules and guidelines that are in place on Halloween Horrors. For example this is still a no nude picture site. You may post videos in a blog but please make sure the movies are not too objectionable (if you have questions ask before you post - and please let me know when you plan to do it).... Enjoy tonights movie :)

Tonight's film is titled "Phantoms" (1998 Rated R Director Joe Chappelle, writer Stephen Koontz)
Plot: In the peaceful town of Snowfield, Colorado something evil from deep in the earth has wiped out the entire community. The creature sends a message to the few survivors to get Dr. Timothy Flyte (Peter O'Toole). The creature demands that Dr Flyte write it's bible to tell the world. They are on a race to discover the creatures origins and to discover a way to destroy it.

This is a great movie Dig! I have watched this too and found it to be very eerie and chilling as well.Peter O'Toole is such a great actor!!! Thanks for posting it!

I agree! Peter O'Toole was great in this movie, I liked the character he played :)

With that mysterious flying creature it reminded me of an evil version of the character called The Mothman.

Snowfield, Colorado, seemed like such a nice and quiet place in the beginning. But it wasn't...Many eerie and strange things happened there - including the creepy voice on the telephone, the "I Fall To Pieces" song and the screams that would play throughout the town before an incident happened, the doctor and her sister (and later, the sheriff) discovering the dead bodies of some of the town residents and the severed bodies in the bakery belonging to the owners, the strange bird-like creature that ate away the face and eyes and brain of the deputy, plus the creature that came from the dog inside the church and infecting those soldiers who arrived in the town to investigate - and many others. Thankfully the authorities were able to find Dr. Flyte, who eventually discovered the substance that would kill the entity that plagued the town, and the sheriff who fired the final shot infecting the entity that led to its death...Or did it? I really liked the ending - just when you thought it was all over, and that things were returning to normal, the deputy who had his face eaten away appeared in the diner humming the song, "I Fall To Pieces". I liked this movie, thanks for posting it :)
