Halloween Horrors

A Meeting Place For Everyone That Loves Horror Movies And Halloween Topics

Tonight's movie is titled "Resident Evil: Extinction". Some of the movies that I've found have some nudity or horror movie style violence in them. I will try to warn you ahead of time if there is something that might be disturbing for some but use your own good judgement. Also movies from YouTube tend to be a little darker in the dark scenes so sometime you may want to turn up the brightness on you computer screen. My posting this movie does not change any of the other rules and guidelines that are in place on Halloween Horrors. For example this is still a no nude picture site. You may post videos in a blog but please make sure the movies are not too objectionable (if you have questions ask before you post - and please let me know when you plan to do it).... Enjoy tonights movie :)

Tonight's film is titled "Resident Evil: Rxtinction" (2007 Rated R, Director Russell Mulcahy) Plot: Years after the Raccoon City disaster, Alice(Milla Jovovich) is on her own and aware that she has become a liability and could endanger those around her. She is struggling to survive and bring down the Umbrella Corporation led by the sinister Albert Wesker and head researcher Dr. Isaacs. Meanwhile, traveling through the Nevada Desert and the ruins of Las Vegas, Carlos Olivera, L.J., and new survivors K-Mart, Claire Redfield, and Nurse Betty must fight to survive extinction against hordes of zombies, infected killer crows and the most terrifying creatures created as a result of the deadly T-Virus that has killed millions

I felt that the first resident evil film in particular that they should have added more of a strange creepy dark feel to the whole movie instead of just making another zombie film with a few odd creatures. They could have focused a bit more on the evil family in the mansion and secret passages.

I really liked the zombie-looking dogs at the beginning of the movie, they reminded me of the dogs in the first Resident Evil videogame. And the zombie/creature make-up and special effects were great. I felt sorry for poor LJ - not only was he attacked and bitten while searching through the motel, but the infection spread until he became a full- fledged zombie himself...and was later killed after infecting Carlos in Las Vegas. I really liked the scenes involving the killer crows, that was great...especially after Alice appeared and the flamethrower incinerated them all. After Isaacs injected himself with too much of the Anti-Virus, the creature he became reminded me of the one William Birkin became in the Resident Evil 2 videogame. But he didn't survive too long, the laser grid took care of that. Thanks for posting this, I liked it :)

Cool... Though the movies get a little weak, the Resident Evil video games and original movie are inspirations for my 2009 Halloween Haunted House. I've got a pretty cool recreation of the T-Virus in the works. This 3rd movie in the Resident Evil series is not my favorite, but it was watchable.
