Tonight's movie is titled "Scarecrows". Some of the movies that I've found have some nudity or horror movie style violence in them. I will try to warn you ahead of time if there is something that might be disturbing for some but use your own good judgment. Also movies from YouTube tend to be a little darker in the dark scenes so sometime you may want to turn up the brightness on you computer screen. My posting this movie does not change any of the other rules and guidelines that are in place on Halloween Horrors. For example this is still a no nude picture site. You may post videos in a blog but please make sure the movies are not too objectionable (if you have questions ask before you post - and please let me know when you plan to do it).... Enjoy tonights movie :)
Tonight's film is titled "Scarecrows" (1988 Rated R Director William Wesley) Plot: Five men heist the Camp Pendleton payroll and kidnap a pilot and his daughter, who are forced to fly them to Mexico. Enroute a double cross has one of the thieves parachute with the loot into an abandoned graveyard surrounded by strange scarecrows. The rest of the team jump after their loot and their former partner. Everything happens during the course of one very dark night
I liked the line, before they group of three escaped the abandoned house, "They're never going to let us out of here alive." That was accurate! I liked this movie, it was definately dark and creepy - so were the special effects used to make the scarecrows look realistic (and how they could imitate people's voices). Jumping out of the airplane wasn't such a great idea for Bert to do, and shooting the scarecrows wasn't either...Because after running from his friends - well, Bert became "stuffed". (Pulling the money out of his head and torso was gruesome!) The other deaths were just as blody and gory - the pilot of the airplane, poor Jack having parts of his body sawed off then being stabbed the face or Roxanne...she shouldn't have stopped to pick the money up off the ground! I admit, there was one scene that made me jump...a little. That was when the phone rang inside the house when the one soldier was alone. The voice on the other end was creepy enough, but so was the severed head inside the refrigerator. At least the young girl and Corbin, the last remaining soldier, managed to make it to the airplane (even after he had his leg hacked by the scarecrows). They thought they had escaped, but...little did they know the dead "stuffed" pilot was on board, too. Before he stabbed his daughter, I thought the blood dripping off of the knife was a nice touch! Despite being a thief, it's too bad that Corbin didn't survive the struggle with the dead pilot (who also died a second time) - but the dog eating the remains of the dead bodies was strange and creepy. Thanks for posting this :)
