Tonight's film is titled "Creature" (1985 Rated R Director ) Plot: Astronauts and scientists exploring Titan, one of the moons of Saturn, discover ancient remnants of an unknown civilization. While surveying a particularly interesting relic, they accidentally unleash a horrible alien terror known only as the "Creature." One by one, the humans are mutilated, their very brains sucked from their skulls
One scene that was particulary bloody and gory was when John (infected by the alien creature sucking out his brain) and the doctor went down below in the German ship - because he wasn't actually showing her his secret. Even though she managed to claw off half of his face during their struggle, he was still able to "feed" her to the alien (who must have been hungry because he chewed her head off). Unfortunately, the captain and the commander didn't reach the doctor in time...but John himself wasn't quite so lucky, either. When the commander shot his head off - that looked real! Klaus Kinski's character, Hoffner, was interesting - how he suddenly appeared to the crew shortly after they landed and crashed. But explained to them that he could get them off that moon, that he has seen the alien and he knew what was brought aboard his ship in the broken canister was alive. He too, though, later became infected with the alien brain sucker. The ending was great - just when you thought the captain, commander and Beth may not survive, especially when the alien and captain struggle - the security guard (who admits she got lost, that's why she's been gone so long) reappears and shoots the explosives attatched to the alien and it died in a spectacular fireball. Out of all those on the Shenendoah who arrived on Titan's moon, only three survived - the captain, his girlfriend Beth and the security guard. Thanks for posting this :)
