The 109th Movie Night

Tonight's movie is titled "Ticks". Some of the movies that I've found have some nudity or horror movie style violence in them. I will try to warn you ahead of time if there is something that might be disturbing for some but use your own good judgement. Also movies from YouTube tend to be a little darker in the dark scenes so sometime you may want to turn up the brightness on you computer screen. My posting this movie does not change any of the other rules and guidelines that are in place on Halloween Horrors. For example this is still a no nude picture site. You may post videos in a blog but please make sure the movies are not too objectionable (if you have questions ask before you post - and please let me know when you plan to do it).... The movies have been really good! The group in this one found out a bit too late about what could be lurking in the woods :)

I've found some different and good films if I do say so myself and I learned a lot in the process as well. So many films, so little time.

I happened to notice, right at the beginning during the opening credits, a book on a table with the title of "Epidemic" - after everything that happened, that title couldn't have been more accurate! The tick pods themselves were strange and odd, how they would ooze the syrupy-looking slime when stabbed(and they certainly didn't like fire - especially after the "farmer" accidentally shot the canister of fertilizer, starting the forest fire). After everything that happened - the dog becoming infected and killed, the man who was helping to fertilize the "crops" and the dog's owner becoming tick food, the two girls finding the sheriff dead in the pond, after fighting off the ticks once the pot grower slammed the van into the cabin and barely escaping the forest fire (and the giant tick monster that Darryl became) - after all that and more, I thought the tick infestation was over...until the end. One of the tick pods managed to catch a ride under the van. Look out Los Angeles, there's giant ticks about to invade! Thanks for posting this, I liked it :)
